The SEC vs. Ripple case has been ongoing since December 2020. On April 1st, the SEC filed a motion to dismiss the case, citing the expiration of the applicable statutes of limitation. No decision has been made yet, but the motion does bring us closer to a possible resolution in the case.
Meanwhile, in the DeFi space, one of the most influential developers, Jordan Spence, recently announced his departure from the crypto space. Spence was the co-founder of Curve, a major DeFi platform, and a prominent advisor to many DeFi projects. Spence’s departure marks a major shift in the DeFi space, and it will be interesting to see what effect it has on the industry.
