The Department of Justice’s website shows no evidence of a presidential pardon being granted to Zhao.

In a recent interview with Rug Radio’s Farokh Sarmad, Zhao confirmed he had applied for a pardon from President Trump, with his legal team initiating the application in April.

Several crypto industry figures have previously received presidential pardons, including three BitMEX co-founders, Arthur Hayes, Benjamin Delo, and Samuel Reed, and Ross Ulbricht, who created the Silk Road marketplace.

BNB experienced a brief uptick following the circulation of the rumors. The digital asset trades at approximately $645, showing minimal movement over the past 24 hours, according to CoinMarketCap.
