In Turkey, the central bank has declared that the use of cryptocurrencies, such as Bitcoin, is now illegal in the country. The central bank states that cryptocurrencies are not legal tender and are very volatile, making them a risk for investors.
In Canada, the first Ethereum exchange-traded fund (ETF) has been launched. The Purpose Ether ETF (ETHR) allows investors to gain exposure to the Ethereum blockchain without having to buy the cryptocurrency outright.
